so annalea and mark thought it would be hilarious to enter a songwriters’ contest with a song we both barely knew (including new lyrics written at the table right before we went up), and ended up winning second place. we’ve even got a cd of the two-song performance (or “great set” as the other competitors told us), and our very own glossy 8X10 portraits soon to find their way onto mark’s fridge. oh, the joy!

(and oh: we came in second… after the guy who came in late and filled the empty spot due to a no-show. haha. according to our comment sheets, we were, erm, “cute.”)
